GTE is a Ugandan company: our own fleet, our own workshop, our own recovery crews, and a planning team that has driven every road we sell. Nothing is outsourced, which is the only reason we can promise what we promise.
We began because too many people arrived in Uganda, looked at the roads, and handed their holiday to a group tour they did not want. The country deserves better than a seat in a minibus behind eleven other minibuses.
So we built the opposite: a fleet we own outright, routes we drive and re-drive ourselves, lodges we have slept in, and a support operation good enough that independence stops being a risk. It is a harder business to run than reselling other people's vehicles — and the only one worth running.

Three things we will not do: we will not put you in a vehicle we do not own; we will not sell a route we have not driven this year; and we will not quote you a price that grows between the enquiry and the airport.
