Fifteen days that carry the falls, the savanna and both primate treks in a single loop — the route for people who don't want to leave anything out.
This is the closest thing we run to a highlights reel of the whole country without stretching into a three-week expedition. Rhinos on foot at Ziwa, the Nile forcing itself through Murchison, zebra at Mburo, the Kazinga Channel's hippos, then two proper forest mornings — chimps at Kibale, gorillas at Bwindi — to close it out. Nothing here is a detour; every stop sits more or less on the way to the next one.
We meet your flight, drive you to the lake, and spend an unhurried hour on the vehicle: tyre change, fuel stops, checkpoints, the phone with your route already loaded. Dinner by the water, early night.
Night: Lakeside guesthouse, EntebbeA straightforward tarmac run past Luwero and Nakasongola, the road opening into grassland as you near the sanctuary. Arrive with time for an afternoon rhino walk — the only place left in the country to do this on foot.
Night: Ziwa Rhino SanctuaryWest through Masindi's timber country and into the park by early afternoon, with an evening game drive along the Buligi track — elephant and buffalo thick along the river.
Night: Paraa, Murchison Falls NPA slow morning launch upriver to the base of the falls, hippo and crocodile the whole way, then the short walk to where the Nile forces itself through a seven-metre gap in the rock.
Night: Paraa, Murchison Falls NPThe longest single transfer of the trip, looping past Kampala rather than through it. Arrive with enough light left for a short evening game drive among the zebra.
Night: Lake Mburo NPOne of the few parks in the country you can leave the vehicle among the game — a ranger-led walk through zebra and impala at close range, then an easy afternoon before the drive west.
Night: Lake Mburo NPWest to Mweya for a boat down the channel in the afternoon — the densest hippo concentration on the continent, and elephant coming down to drink an arm's length from the bow.
Night: Mweya, Queen Elizabeth NPOut at dawn on the Kasenyi tracks for lion, back at the lodge by mid-morning with the rest of the day free.
Night: Mweya, Queen Elizabeth NPA climbing murram road through tea and terraced hills into the forest edge at Buhoma. Arrive by mid-afternoon, briefing at four.
Night: Forest lodge, BuhomaBetween two and seven hours in the forest depending on where the family slept. Then one hour with them — the whole reason permits cost what they do. Nothing scheduled for the afternoon on purpose.
Night: Forest lodge, BuhomaNorth through Fort Portal's tea estates, with the Rwenzori range visible on your left for most of the drive.
Night: Kibale forest lodgeAn early briefing at Kanyanchu, then following the calls through the forest until you find them — usually within two hours. The afternoon is yours.
Night: Kibale forest lodgeThe long run back, broken by lunch above the Kasese flats. We route you around Kampala rather than through it, ending on Lake Victoria's shore.
Night: Lake Victoria shore, near EntebbeA buffer day before the flight home — nothing booked, nothing scheduled. Most people are glad of the excuse to stop moving after two forest mornings back to back.
Night: Lake Victoria shore, near EntebbeWe collect the vehicle from your guesthouse whenever your flight demands it. Nobody inspects anything in front of you — the handover photos already did that.
“We couldn't decide between a big-game trip and a gorilla trip, so GTE built us one that was both. Fifteen days and nothing felt rushed.”

“Rhinos on foot in the first week, gorillas in the last few days — the range of this route is what sold us on a second Africa trip already.”
Sofia — Spain
“Two forest treks eight days apart meant we never confused one for the other. Both were the highlight, for different reasons.”
